Biography:Born in Austin, TX on Apr. 22, 1986, actress Amber Heard wasted no time in announcing her arrival on both the big and small screens. Her major film debut in the Billy Bob Thornton feature vehicle “Friday Night Lights” translated into a pivotal role as the young Charlize Theron in the Academy Award-nominated "North Country" (2005).
The following year saw Heard re-surface as the loose seductress, Alma, in director Nick Cassavetes’ controversial “Alpha Dog" – the biopic of young drug dealer–turned-cold-blooded-killer, Jesse James Hollywood. On the small screen, Heard’s credits included guest appearances on "The O.C.” (Fox, 2003-07) and the short-lived, but critically praised, drama, “Jack & Bobby" (WB, 2004-05). In 2007, Heard got her biggest break to date with her series regular debut on the hot new CW series, “Hidden Palms” (2007- ). In it, she played Greta Matthews, a beautiful young woman hiding a painful secret.
