Just as winter is about to arrive, Lamborghini makes all of wish that it was summer again with the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster. Building off the success of the Lamborghini Aventador coupe,Lamborghini has unveiled the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, which is described as the most exciting Lamborghini ever built and the new benchmark in the world of open-top luxury super sports cars.

Even with its astronomical price tag, Lamborghini has managed to sell 1,300 Aventador coupes, since its debut in the summer of 2011. Lamborghini is hoping to build on that success with a new open-top version that combines everything that we love about the coupe, but with open top fun. The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can immediately be recognized by the unique profile of its upper area, which extends along newly designed geometric lines from the removable roof to the engine hood. It’s roof is made entirely from carbon fiber using various technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite.

The new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster accelerates from 0-62 mph in only 3 seconds flat and has a maximum speed of 217 mph. The roadster is powered by the same centrally located, 6.5 liter 700-hp V12 and ISR 7-speed gearbox as the coupe. The Aventador LP700-4 Roadster will set you back 300,000 euros (380,000 U.S.).
