The Avon Foundation for Women, the world’s largest corporate-affiliated philanthropy that focuses solely on women’s issues, will hold its 12th Anniversary Awards Gala on October 30 in New York City. Fergie will be attending the event.
On her Facebook, Fergie said she will be co-hosting the event, performing, and commemorating 20 years of progress in the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.
The event will take place at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York on October 30.
Auctioning is an important part of the Avon Foundation’s fundraising efforts, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Avon Foundation for Women to support breast cancer research and access to care.
Fergie is a passionate supporter of the Foundation, and has infused many of our events with her talent and inspiration. In September 2012, Fergie cheered on thousands of participants at the Santa Barbara Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for the second time, having made her first appearance at the Santa Barbara Walk in 2010. This year, she announced and awarded more than $3 million in grants at the Closing Ceremony to breast cancer organizations in Southern California.
Besides attending the event, Fergie is auctioning on eBay an exclusive photo opportunity on the Red Carpet. This one-of-kind experience includes 2 tickets to the Avon Foundation for Women Annual Awards Gala. The winner and their guest will be allowed one personal photo with Fergie, and may bring one item for her to sign.
